Red Carpet

Ah, dreams... how sweet your nectar...

I like to experiment.  Here's an example of something new.  A pretty red dress with ruching down the sides.  More elegant than I normally wear.  Your thoughts?

  1. The color looks good on you and I heart the boa. However, I would like it more if it was a bit shorter. Maybe just at or just above the knee.

  2. I love the color and length. I have been very into that particular length of skirt/dress lately. It is elegant.

  3. I love everything.... you look so classy and elegant. and happy!

And I really love those off-white shoes with that dress, it's such a nice surprise! Black is so predictable and safe. Although, IRL I would skip the boa.

  4. The dress suits your colours and you styled it in a neat way!! I've never expected myself to say that (cause I've never worn one in my whole life), but you look better in a mini-skirt or at least a shorter one! I guess it has to do with your fantastic legs and balancing your upper body volume! Show them off! In all a very stylish outfit and I love this kind of shoes!! Kisses

  9. Very pretty dress. I like the gathering along the sides. Personally boas always rock, especially if you have the confidence. :) a pretty scarf/shawl would be nice too for colder evenings.

  11. Very elegant- nice touch with the ivory shoes instead of expected black- wondering what the dress would look like a little bit shorter.

  12. That colour is fabulous on you. The dress length is good - you have great legs and very nice ankles too, so can carry a longer length well. And the boa is wonderful. Take home message: gorgeous!

  13. Thank you guys, a lot. Every comment means the world to me and I study your reactions and suggestions with great care.

I find it fascinating that most people believe I look better in short skirts rather than longer ones. I certainly agree, but it flies in the face of convention for two reasons. First, because older women are supposed to let their hemlines drop lower -- and when they wear short skirts are usually criticized for acting inappropriate for their age. And second, because I'm (ostensibly) male and thus shouldn't possess attractive legs -- although I try to believe otherwise.

Life is strange, isn't it? The things we think we know, we don't, and things we think are impossible come true...

  16. Yeah! I like it. The length is a bit odd but you still pull it off amazingly well. I think the length makes the look more interesting. Is it difficult to walk in?

  17. The feather boa is a great touch. I like the dress. The color is great. I would wear a long necklace with it for a bit of visual interest since the dress is a solid color and there's so much of it.

You look great. How many wigs do you have? I love this one.

    Also, I love your kitchen!!!

  21. Ashley, the material is a very soft, stretchy knit so, even though the bottom of the dress is very narrow, it expands comfortably and doesn't hobble you at all. I worried about that until I wore it and have no trouble moving around.
