Florida

I went down to Florida this week to see my dad. He's 87 years old. It was good to spend time with him. Are you visiting any relatives this Summer?

  2. Your Dad looks really great for his age. I'd never guessed he was 87. You are blessed to be able to spend time with him. I wish I still had mine, but my Dad passed away almost one year ago. I don't have many relatives left now, just my brother and sister, who both live nearby. No travelling involved ... xxx

  3. You are lucky to have him, and to be able to visit. You two look very happy, and you took some great photos.
I had a very bad relationship with my Dad, and since I had spent all my life 'missing' him because he was never there for me, I felt free at last when he was gone. Yeah, a horrible thing to say, but life's not always perfect...

    1. Thanks, Beth. My dad is old enough to have lived through World War II (as a child).

  11. Family is important. Two weeks ago we had a reunion of my wife's extended relations. Tomorrow a cousin of mine is getting married for the first time in his 60s and I will get to see my brother and hopefully a few other cousins.

I've had family staying with me for a week. It was wonderful! I miss them all already.
